This workshop changes that.
Working from the same reference image, you’ll learn a simple process for breaking complex subjects into manageable shapes, colors, and values. You’ll discover how artists create believable skin tones, soft edges, and the illusion of form without getting lost in tiny details.
No drawing experience required.
No artistic background required.
Just a willingness to try.
By the end of class, you’ll have a painting in progress or complete, along with the confidence to approach future portraits without fear.
All students will paint the same reference image so we can focus on learning color, skin tones, and painting techniques instead of struggling with drawing.

🕒 3 hours of classroom instruction
👩🏼🏫 1:1 guidance on how to see and paint the provided reference image.
🎨 All supplies
👩🎨 Professional studio setting including easels and lighting
