You’re not here by accident.
Let’s tell the story you carry but don’t yet have words for.
Let’s hold it with care and turn it into something that won’t be lost, something the children and grandchildren can return to.
Maybe it’s a move to assisted living.
A second chance at life.
That lonely void during the holidays.
You’ve gone through what feels like endless boxes of photographs, letters and momentos.
You’ve shared stories at a traditional family table.
A lot of it blurs together, but some of it is so vivid you can just about remember the smell.
You don’t know exactly what to do with those feelings.
You just know that the thought of forgetting feels unbearable.
This is where the weight starts to lift.
We begin with one or two detailed conversations.
You don’t need to know how to tell the story. That’s not your job. I listen carefully, ask the questions that help clarify what matters, and hold the parts that feel heavy and complicated.
This is where uncertainty turns into direction for all of us.
Where worry about “getting it wrong” settles into clarity.
I create a sketch.
This reflects what we’ve uncovered together. By the time this is complete, the heart of the work is clear. The painting itself becomes a matter of honoring what’s been understood.
Nothing moves forward until you feel steady about what we’re creating.
What matters here is honesty and trust. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and treat what’s shared with respect. I give the same openness and care that I ask for in return.
This work is about honoring a real life with care. The strength, the flaws, the contradictions. Not polishing away the complicated parts, but holding them honestly and with dignity.
Nothing is rushed.
Nothing is forced.
And nothing moves forward unless what we’re creating feels steady and true.
No commitment, just a place to talk things through.
