One on One

You’ve painted a little — maybe taken a class — and now you’re ready to go deeper.
Or maybe you want something that is out of the scope of my typical classes.

Whether you’re struggling with color choices, brushwork, composition, or just want a second set of eyes on your process, this is your chance to paint with professional tools, in a calm and creative environment, with coaching tailored to your skill level.

You’ll choose your own image to work from (something meaningful to you), and we’ll focus on the art of seeing — value, shape, edges — and how to use oils to bring it to life.

  • 2 or 4 hour one-on-one session in my studio classroom.

  • All supplies and tools provided (feel free to bring your own brushes and paints if preferred)

  • 12 × 18 aluminum painting panel, gessoed and ready to paint (can be upsized for a small extra fee).

  • Instruction personalized to your experience and goals (with a focus on realism).

  • Studio tips and critique to help take your work to the next level.

  • Flexible Schedule - together we will work out a date and time that works in your schedule.

  • One Month of Open Studio Membership so you can continue to build layers using provided paints. I will save your palette between sessions.

🔹 Immediately after your purchase, you will receive an email requesting 3 dates/times that fit in your schedule so we can coordinate. I will also ask for your reference image that I will prepare for your session.

    All 2D mediums welcome. Beginner to expert.

  • 5 hours of instruction from a professional artist who specializes in realism oil paintings.

    Everything you need to paint including easels, paint, brushes, medium, canvas etc.

    Lunch and snacks

    Beverages: coffee, tea, water, soda.

    Contact us directly if you need lodging or transportation from out of town.

  • Please arrive by 8:45. We will start promptly at 9am SHARP.

    Introductions firsts

    Instructions and direction next.

    Then we will jump right into painting.

    Lunch at noon.

    The afternoon session goes until 2:30 and this is where you will get the bulk of your painting progress done.
