Legacy Credits are a way for multiple relatives to contribute toward one commissioned painting, so the gift feels shared, meaningful, and appropriate.
It’s a structure that lets a family say: we’re honoring together.
Each family member become part of the provenance
When a family uses Legacy Credits, each financial contributor can be included in the documentation that travels with the painting, a documentation of family genealogy and relationships.
Each contributor can have a document that includes:
Their thumbprint
Their relationship to the person in the painting
A memory or message of their choice.
This document stays with the painting in perpetuity. The finished work carries more than paint. It carries the people who helped bring it into the world.
How it works
One person serves as the decision-maker so the process stays clean.
Family members and friends contribute in any amount they’re comfortable with. This can be done at any time directly here on my secure website.
We agree on timeline and funding milestones.
The original painting can move to family members or stay in one location. Optional prints will be available to all family members.
